An enthusiastic adventurer with a keen sense of observation and appreciation for differences, I've traversed most of the large Philippine islands and parts of other Asian countries by bike, large and small. On national highways that hardly can pass for such to muddy narrow logging roads, I've experienced firsthand the mostly deplorable ferry systems, impoverished coastal villages, beautiful mountain and seaside sights, and have come to some very cool, and some hot, conclusions, many unfavorable, about the realities of developing (?) nations like the Philippines, Thailand and Taiwan.
